President
Dee A. Marchman grew up around the hum of construction sites. (Her father David A. Marchman was a very productive member of the construction industry and a respected figure in his community. He dedicated his life to construction, as a GC, a professor of Construction Management at USM, Chapter President for Habitat for Humanity, Estimator for Brown and Root Ind. (during summers), Author of multiple scheduling textbooks, Professional Witness in construction lawsuits, Keynote Speaker at construction seminars, workshops, and radio broadcast.) Dee fell in love with construction at a very young age. She started off volunteering with Habitat Humanity alongside her father at the tender age of 12. With hammer in hand, she learned the value of hard work and the joy of giving back. Some of her favorite childhood memories were "auditing" her father's classes, playing with blueprints in his office, collecting toys at construction conventions, walking with her father down historic districts looking at old houses, and later volunteering with Samaritans Purse after a Hurricane passed through Hattiesburg, MS. Dee's father's belief in the power of community profoundly shaped her aspirations and has become the cornerstone of her endeavors. Her mother was a lead accountant and district manager for over 25 Exxon gas stations in Central Florida. Dee loved helping her mom with grand openings and company events. Dee says "Grand Openings are like waiting for spring flowers. You watch and oversee as it takes time as a building goes up. Anticipating for that day when the doors open up... budding with new customers waiting to enter."
